David Lipsitt, Psy.D., QME

With a 20-year background in neuropsychological and psychiatric assessment, Dr. Lipsitt is an experienced evaluator, currently specializing in forensic evaluation and medical-legal report-writing. Specifically, he provides comprehensive psychological evaluations for personal injury and civil cases, including cases requiring pre-surgical clearance. As a qualified medical evaluator (QME), Dr. Lipsitt conducts medical-legal examinations for cases pertaining to industrial injury (i.e., workers compensation cases). He additionally provides disability benefits examinations for U.S. veterans and active-duty service members, as well as evaluations pertaining to complex immigration cases.
Dr. Lipsitt holds a doctorate in Clinical Psychology from William James College (formerly Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology). His training has included a postdoctoral fellowship in Psychology and Neurodevelopment at Harvard Medical School, where he held an appointment as Instructor of Psychology, and provided trainings for Psychiatry residents on neurodevelopmental disorders. This role continued in the ensuing years when he served as staff psychologist at McLean Hospital’s Center for Neurodevelopmental Services. Additionally, Dr. Lipsitt has operated a long-running private-practice over the years, alongside clinic work at the Hallowell Center, ADHD Boston, and The LD & ADHD Center of Hawaii, as well as several years at Harvard Vanguard Medical Associates — collaborating with various medical specialty departments and providing assessments and treatments within a health psychology approach.
